Studying science from a Christian worldview has been amazing for us. When we learned about how God gave birds instincts my 8 year old said he wondered if that was because God didn't give them free will and, sure enough, the next paragraph in your book addressed that and we had a great discussion about God's provision and instinct vs. free will.
