I am a 24-year veteran homeschooler, and the author of the #1 best-selling, multi award-winning Apologia elementary science series as well as many new products, curriculum, and books to make your homeschool journey the best it can be.
My husband Jeff and I became empty nesters in 2019. All four of our children went to the University of Georgia on scholarship (Yes! Homeschooling works!) For more than 20 years I’ve traveled the country speaking to homeschoolers at conventions, covering a plethora of topics from Charlotte Mason homeschooling, college prep and teaching science to homeschooling multiple children, nature journaling, and bringing history to life.
I grew up in Austin, Texas and received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Fairfield University. I am also a Certified Christian Life Coach and am dedicated to serving the homeschool community through my books, blog, articles, speaking engagements, and podcasts.
